One day, Jesus sat down opposite to the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd dropping their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. Calling His disciples to Him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.
Yes, God sees the heart of the giver. Giving is an amazing act that touches the heart of God. In Acts 20:35, the Bible says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” The Lord always honours our faith which we exhibit through giving. It is also written in Luke 6:38 as, “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.” Beloved, today I assure you that you will see hundredfold harvest for what you have sown into His kingdom. The time, things or money that you sow into the kingdom of God always multiplies back to you! Rejoice in the Lord.
A Prayer for Today
Loving Father, I know that the earth and all of its fullness is Yours. I bring all of my time, talents and money which You have given me to be sown into the kingdom of God. You are the good God who sees the heart of a person. Bless the work of my hands. Bless the seed that I bring into Your house. May I see multiplied harvest! I receive it by faith. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
