…your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over.” (1 Peter 3:1)

Oftentimes we try to “win” people over by telling them all about what we know or explain how they should act. We may have good intentions and really want to help people, but in reality, it’s our life of excellence and integrity that speaks to the hearts of others.

In this particular Scripture, Peter is writing to women who received salvation after they were married and whose husbands were not yet believers, but the principle applies to every believer.

The first thing people should notice about us is our love, patience, kindness, gentleness, strength and joy. People are going to know that we’re believers when we’re helping other people, meeting needs, and blessing people with our words and actions.

We were created to make a difference in the lives of others through our love for them. True love is seen in our actions—giving our time, our money, an encouraging word. When you show love, you are showing God to the world.

So let your light shine, be fun to be with, be good-natured, be kind. You are the salt of the earth. Make people thirsty for what you have. Behind the scenes, pray for their salvation and be ready to share the message of the gospel when the time is right. Remember, actions speak louder than words. Be an example of God’s love so you can effectively win others to Him!

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for Your kindness which leads people to repentance. Help me display Your characteristics of love and goodness so that others will turn to You. Thank You for choosing to use me. I surrender every area of my life to You. In Yeshua the Messiah’s Name.

Yeshua answered, “It is written…”(Matthew 4:4,)

Anytime you are facing adversity or trials, the first line of defence needs to be in your mind. If you allow fear to come in and take root in your thinking, it becomes a stronghold that affects every part of you.

But when thoughts of fear come, you don’t have to “sign for the package,” so to speak. Instead of activating fear by meditating on it, believing it and speaking it, you can turn things around and activate faith.

How do you activate faith? Hebrews tells us that the Word of God is living and active, sharper than a double-edged sword, and able to divide soul and spirit. When the enemy tried to tempt Jesus, He gave us the example of how to respond.

He said, “It is written!” Instead of going through the day worried, thinking about how it’s not going to work out, start meditating on what God says. Activate faith by speaking the Word of God.

Let it sink down inside of you and transform your being. Always remember, His Word is alive, His Word is truth, His Word is your weapon. So take hold of His promises and find where it is written!

A Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for Your Word which lights my path and transforms my life. I choose today to turn my thoughts toward You. I choose today to meditate on Your Word and Your promises so that I can be empowered to live in the victory You have prepared for me in Yeshua the Messiah’s name. Amen.

Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.” (Proverbs 12:25)

When you see someone who is struggling, a co-worker who is discouraged, a friend who is not up to par, how do you respond? Our words can be what keeps a person going; our compliments can put a spring back into their step.

Now more than ever, we need to automatically let the encouragement flow. We need to tell others how much we love them, how we value them, and tell them that they are talented and creative.

Always remember, with your words you carry life-giving water. You carry hope, healing, encouragement and new beginnings, and you can pour it out everywhere you go. Today, choose to speak encouragement.

Choose to speak victory and faith into others’ lives. Instead of telling people what they’re doing wrong, instead of pointing out all their faults, find what they are doing right. Focus on the good.

There are already enough critical, judgmental people in the world. Let’s be people who lift up others and restore them. Let’s be the light of Jesus in the world.

A Prayer for Today

Father God, thank You for speaking through me. Thank You for using me to be a blessing to others.

Thank You for encouraging my heart as I find ways to encourage the people around me. I love You and bless Your holy Name. In Yeshua the Messiah’s Name. Amen.

It is written: “I believed; therefore, I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak.” (2 Corinthians 4:13)

There is a story of a man who was believing to pay his house off. It was a standard thirty-year mortgage, and he had twenty-three years left. In the natural, there was no way he could do it.

But he was bold enough to say, “Father, thank You that You are Jehovah Jireh; the Lord my provider. I know that my job is not my source. You are my source. It may look impossible, but I know You can do the impossible.”

Several years later, he received an inheritance from a family member whom he had never met before. He didn’t even know they were related. He was able to not only pay his house off, but he paid a friend’s house off as well. What was that? Explosive blessings!

Friend, when you believe God, you position yourself for a miracle. When you obey His commands, you set yourself under the open windows of heaven. When you declare His Word, you activate His power. Keep standing, keep believing, keep speaking and see the victory and blessing He has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for Your Word which is alive and powerful! I set my mind on Your promises and choose to declare what You say about me. Thank You for Your faithfulness as I move forward in the good plan You have for me in Yeshua the Messiah’s name. Amen.

With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation. Psalm 91:16

The promise for today assures, “With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation” (Psalm 91:16). This promise unveils the infinite love of God, His boundless desires and limitless gratifications for you.

Why does He want you to have a long life? God loves you to become more like Him in every way on this earth and He loves to see you enjoy all that He has for you.  He is much pleased in showing His overflowing glory in every part of your life.

Therefore, for this reason, He sent His only son Jesus to die on the Cross at a very young age of 33, so that you would live long on this earth!

Many people accepted Jesus and started to trust Him during the World War II. One was an Englishman who was held in a German prison camp for a long period of time.

One day he read Psalm 91.  Then he prayed, “Father in Heaven, I see all these men dying around me, one after the other. Will I also have to die here? I am still young and I very much want to work in Your kingdom here on earth.”

The Lord spoke in his heart, “Believe what you have read just now and go home.” Trusting in the Lord, he got up and walked into the corridor toward the gate. A guard called out, “Prisoner, where are you going?”

“I am under the protection of the Most High,” he replied. The guard came to attention and let him pass, for Adolf Hitler was known as “The Most High” during those times! Again at the next gate, he met with a group of guards.

They commanded him to stop and asked where he was going.  “I am under the protection of the Most High.” All the guards stood at attention as he walked out the gate.

The English officer made his way through the German countryside and eventually reached England, where he told how he had made his escape.

Is that now awesome!? Our God leads His children wonderfully.  His wisdom surpasses everything! Beloved, come under the protection of the Most High. He will keep you away from evil and harm. You will feel His guidance all through the day and night.

A Prayer for Today

Dear heavenly Father, You are the Most High God.  I believe that You protect Your children under Your mighty shadow from the heat of the world’s dangers and sudden attacks. I believe that my long life on this earth with divine health is Your desire.

Help me never to slide away from Your protecting hands.  I claim and receive the blessing of long and a useful life, fulfilling Your purpose fully on this earth. In Yeshua the Messiah name I pray, Amen.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. Isaiah 43:2

You travel in a smooth road, your journey is comfortable and enjoyable.  But, once it reaches a cross-road junction, and all look alike, you do not know how to make a wise choice.  More than your wisdom, you need God’s guidance at such junctures.

It may look like waters are overwhelming with confusion over you.  You may feel like you are surfing rough waters and there is no way of reaching the shore.

Beloved, you are never alone.  God has already promised you, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you” (Isaiah 43:2).  No storm can ever win over you.  As a child of God, you are a winner always.  Forget all your past failures.  God will do a new thing in your life.  God will make a way where there is no way.  He will cause you to rise as a shining star.

A Prayer for Today

Dear Lord, thank You for encouraging me through this testimony.  Bless me too with decision-making capacity.  I am standing in a cross-road. Everything around makes me to feel that I am an inadequate person.

I am in a sea of confusion.  Lift me up, O Lord! Show me the way in which I should walk.  Make me walk the roads of victory for Your name sake.  Thank You for listening to my prayer. In Yeshua the Messiah’s name I pray, Amen.

The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.” (Proverbs 4:18)

No matter what is happening in your life today, you have a reason to be excited about your future! If things seem dark right now, know that the dawn will soon appear. The key is to remember that you are not here by accident.

You have a purpose and destiny from God to fulfil, and He’s not finished with you yet. Your best days are not behind you; your best days are out in front of you. God is a God of increase.

He has greater things in store for your future than you have experienced in your past. His dream for your future is so much bigger than your own. He wants to take you places you’ve never dreamed and open doors you’ve never imagined.

He wants to bring talent out of you that you didn’t know you had. He wants to increase you and cause you to be a greater blessing to the people around you. Today, get your hopes up and get excited about your future!

Begin to thank Him for what He has in store. Keep standing, keep believing and keep moving forward because God has explosive blessings in store for you!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I humbly come to You giving You all that I am. I trust that You have good things in store for my future. I choose to keep my eyes on You no matter what’s happening in my circumstances.

I know that You are faithful, and I receive the blessings that You have in store for me. In Yeshua the Messiah’s Name. Amen.

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life…” (2 Peter 1:3)

It’s easy to get stuck in life thinking we’ve reached our limits. But God wouldn’t have given us a dream without giving us the ability to accomplish it. We have everything we need.

Many times the problem is that it’s buried inside. It’s hidden treasure. We have gifts and talents that we’ve not tapped into yet. There is potential that is waiting to be released. When God laid out the plan for our life, He deposited in us the skill, the wisdom, the creativity; everything we need to fulfil our destiny.

Now here’s the key: it’s not what we have in us that matters; it’s what we get out. If we’re going to reach our highest potential, we have to tap into that hidden treasure. Now the challenge is, “don’t die with the treasure still on the inside.”

We have something to offer this world that nobody else can offer. We are unique, one of a kind. We are anointed to be we. Be confident in who God made us to be, knowing that we have what it takes to step into the fullness of our destiny.

A Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. I thank You that You will complete what You’ve started in my life.

Today I choose to put my trust in You knowing that a shift is coming. I declare that Your will be done in every area of my life in Yeshua the Messiah’s name! Amen!

Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.” (Proverbs 17:14)

Too often, people fall into the trap of strife. Someone says something that rubs you the wrong way, and before you know it, there is tension, quarrelling and division. The Scripture tells us that strife opens the door to “every evil work.”

It’s the enemy’s greatest trap to keep people from living in victory. But you don’t have to fall into the trap of strife, you can rise above it. Today’s verse says that you can simply drop the matter before it turns into something bigger than it needs to be.

You don’t have to sink down to somebody’s level and argue with them and try to prove that you’re right. You weren’t put on this earth to correct everybody around you.

If you are going to be all that God’s called you to be, you have to learn to stay above strife. Instead of letting disagreements pull your relationships apart, look for common ground to draw you closer to the people in your life.

Look for peace. Look for ways to be a blessing. Stay above strife so you can enjoy your relationships and experience the blessing He has for you!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I choose to stay above strife. I choose to honour You by seeking peace in my relationships. Empower me to walk in love and be an example of Your light everywhere I go in Yeshua the Messiah’ name. Amen.

I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you. Genesis 12:2

God said to Abram, “Behold, I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great” (Genesis 12: 2). God blessed Abram in ‘all’ things (Genesis 24: 1). This word strikes me the most! God blessed Abram both spiritually and materially according to Ephesians 1: 3. The Lord gave him a new name. He said, “Abraham, for I have made you the father of many nations” (Genesis 17: 5). What a blessing!

God will exalt your name and establish your ways. You too can be a friend of God.  Draw closer to Him and trust Him in all that you do today. Remember the promise for you “… I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honour…”(Isaiah 45:4) and be encouraged. Nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow” (Isaiah 62:2). Surely God will bless you and raise you to great heights. Be of good cheer! May God bless you spiritually and materially!

A Prayer for Today

Loving Lord, I entrust all my burdens to You. Fill me with Thy blessings, O Lord. Help me to walk in Your ways. Teach me to seek You always and to observe Your statutes.

Help me inherit all Your blessings. Lift me to great heights. Let my house be established in You.   Be with me in all my steps. I submit myself to Your perfect will. Thank You for answering my prayers!  Amen.

I will protect him, for he acknowledges My name. Psalm 91:14

We have a God who is great and mighty. His name is powerful and awesome. When we call upon Him and give due reverence to His name, He is overwhelmed by our action and pours out His blessing on us.

Are we ready to acknowledge His name by all means? Or is something disturbing us from doing so. No matter what your situation be, cry out for Him and He will bless you, protect you and provide all that you need.

Nothing is impossible for Him. Bible says, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1). The Lord alone has the power to remove all the insufficiencies and make you prosperous when you subject yourself into His shelter of protection. Be assured of the promise, “.. he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered” (Proverbs 28:25).

Yeshua is there by your side to lift you up and bless you. Just trust Him in all that you do and like this man in the above incident, He will exalt you in the same way and keep you safe under His wings. As a family you will cherish His protection and taste His love, as found in today’s promise “I will protect him, for he acknowledges My name” Psalm 91:14.

A Prayer for Today

Wonderful Saviour! How powerful You are to exalt all those who trust in You! Lord, remember me also today. Grant me the grace to hold fast to You in my life. Through this, let all my insufficiencies be changed and lead me to live a prosperous life.

Protect me and my family and all the blessings that you have given me in this world. Continue to abide with us and help us also to abide in you to testify your goodness. In Yeshua the Messiah’s precious name I pray Amen!
