As he cursed, Shimei said, “Get out, get out, you murderer, you scoundrel!” (2 Samuel 16:7)

Some people made King David and his loyal followers suffer a lot. This story takes place while David is fleeing because his son Absalom is trying to take over the throne.

As David and his officials leave Jerusalem and approach another town, a relative of the former king, Saul, comes out and curses David, saying, “Get out, get out, you murderer, you scoundrel!” And he pelts David and his officials with stones.

One of David’s military leaders complains about this humiliation. But David says, “If he is cursing because the Lord said to him, ‘Curse David,’ who can ask, ‘Why do you do this?’ . . . My son, my own flesh and blood, is trying to kill me.

How much more, then, this Benjamite! Leave him alone; let him curse, for the Lord has told him to. It may be that the Lord will look upon my misery and restore to me his covenant blessing instead of his curse today.”

David admitted that all this trouble, from Absalom’s treason to Shimei’s cursing, could be God’s punishment on him for his wrongdoings. David understood he had done many things wrong. And in his repentance, he trusted God to forgive him and care for him.

We can do the same. We may have to face consequences for our actions, but God will also refresh us with his forgiveness and care.

A Prayer for Today
Lord, guide us with your wisdom to be like salt and light in this world. We are far from perfect, but help us to point others to you. In Yeshua’s name, Amen

“For still the vision awaits its appointed time…If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” (Habakkuk 2:3)

In the Old Testament, the Israelites had several different national feasts, such as the Passover, that they were to observe at set times each year. The times had been ordained by God and couldn’t be changed.

These were special times that God had already established to show His people favor. Just as it was with them, there are appointed times God has already ordained to show out His favor in our life. After years of things being routine, we’ll come into set times of growth and increase.

God will thrust us from the background to the foreground, accelerate our dreams, and make things happen faster than we thought. Problems will unexpectedly turn around even though it looks impossible.

We need to get ready. I believe we’ve come into one of our set times of favor. The Creator of the universe is breathing on our life in a new way. His power of favor is greater than any force that’s trying to come against us. Our appointed time is established.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that this is my appointed time for favor. Thank You that You are breathing on my life in a new way and helping me do what I could not do on my own.

I believe that my set time is established, and You will make it happen. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

“I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2)

When God told Abraham, “I will bless you and you will be a blessing,” it infers that if you’re not going to be a blessing, you’re not going to be blessed. The two are tied together.

The Scripture says, “Give, and it will be given to you.” If you’re not giving away what God has given you, that blessing is not going to continue in the way it could. If you give away healing, then healing will keep coming back to you.

If you want to stay free from the addiction, help somebody else get free. Keep giving away what God has given you.

If you let what God gives you flow through you, He’ll keep giving it to you. It’s tempting to think, “I received my blessing. Lord, thank You,” but that’s going to cause you to become stagnate.

If you’re not giving anything away, nothing new is going to come. When you’re always lifting people up, encouraging them, making them better, then blessings are always going to come to you.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for what You’ve brought me through that I can now use to help others in their struggles. Thank You that I have something to give, some encouragement to share, and some blessing to impart. Help me to give away what You’ve given to me. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

“But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.” (Genesis 6:8)

The people in Noah’s day were living wildly, partying, worshipping idols. God was so upset that He was about to destroy the earth through a great flood, but Noah found favor with God.

Why did he find favor and not all the people around him? The next verse says, He walked faithfully with God. Noah could have just compromised like everyone else, but he made the choice to honor God and keep Him first place.

There is a blessing on your life that will push you up when others are going down. God told Noah to build a 450-foot long ark. No one had heard of such a thing. It seemed impossible. But God will never ask you to do something and not give you the favor to do it.

You have the favor. The question is, do you have the faith or are you talking yourself out of it? Remember that just one touch of God’s favor will catapult you to a new level.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are the true and living God, and You reward those who honor You. Thank You that my obedience can never earn Your favor but it can lead to it. Help me to be bold, to dare to believe, and to dare to take some new steps of faith. In Yeshua’a Name, Amen

“You have armed me with strength for the battle; you have subdued my enemies under my feet.”
(2 Samuel 22:40)

God knows every battle, every temptation, and every obstacle you will ever face. He has not only put it under your feet, but He has armed you with strength for that battle. You are a warrior, a victor and not a victim. He has already equipped you.

You are full of can-do power. Quit telling yourself, “This is too much. I can’t handle it.” The greatest force in the universe is breathing in your direction. Tap into more of that power. Start declaring, “I can handle this.

I am well able. I can do all things through Messiah. I am strong in the Lord.” Put your shoulders back, look those obstacles in the eye, and say, “You’re no match for me.

I know your end has already been set, and it’s just a matter of time before God turns it around. It’s just a matter of time before He brings that dream to pass.”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for arming me with strength for every battle that I will ever face. Thank You that You have already equipped me with power as a warrior and destined me for victory.

I declare that I am strong and can do all things through Messiah. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

The Scripture says that one day, there will be no more tragedies, sickness, or pain. But in the meantime, God is counting on us to wipe away those tears. Are you taking time to help somebody in need?

It’s important to go to church and celebrate, but our real assignment begins when we leave the building. Look around and find the discouraged. You may not hear them with your ears, but you can hear them with your heart.

You see when somebody is down. Suddenly, you feel compassion flowing out to them. You think, I need to go encourage them. Don’t put it off. That’s God wanting you to bring healing.

Your hugs can cause people to get better. A phone call, giving someone a ride, taking them out to dinner, or encouraging them in their dreams can put them back on their feet.

A simple act of kindness can be life-giving. There are miracles in you waiting to happen.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I am full of miracles because You live in me. Help me to be sensitive to the needs of others and allow Your compassionate heart to flow out of me to them. I will make it my business to let them know that I care. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” (Luke 1:26–28)

Mary didn’t come from an influential, wealthy family. In the natural, there was nothing special about her. When the angel, Gabriel, appeared to her and called her “highly favored,” I’m sure at first Mary thought, You have the wrong girl. I’m just average.

It’s easy to talk yourself out of what God says about you. But God is saying the same thing to you. Gabriel then told her she was going to have a baby without knowing a man. Sometimes God puts promises in our heart that seem unlikely.

That’s why Gabriel started off the conversation by telling Mary that she was highly favored. When you face a situation that seems impossible, you have to keep reminding yourself that you are highly favored.

A few verses later, it says that Mary was blessed because she believed that the Lord would do what He said. Whatever God has spoken to your heart, do as Mary did and say, “God, I believe. I’m highly favored.”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your promise to Mary that she had found favor with You, and she would give birth to Your Son. Thank You that no word from You has ever failed. I believe that I am highly favored, and Your words to me will be fulfilled. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Messiah even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. (Ephesians 2:4–5)

The apostle Paul talked about the great love wherewith God loved us and brought us salvation. It wasn’t a get-by or don’t-bother-me love. God is madly in love with you. What He has in store is going to boggle your mind.

His kingdom is rich in mercy, filled with joy, favor, and blessings. He has things in your future that you’ve never dreamed of. The question is, are you expecting it?

God is not limited by what you don’t have, by how you were raised, by your education. His favor on your life will open doors you couldn’t open and cause you to accomplish more with less talent. His blessing will bring divine connections, people who will use their influence to push you forward.

Now get in agreement with God. All through the day be saying, “Father, thank You that You’re giving me Your kingdom, opening the right doors, and taking me where I could not go on my own.”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your great love, for being rich in mercy, and for making me alive with Yeshua. Thank You that Your grace has been poured out upon me. I believe that You are giving me Your kingdom and taking me where I could not go on my own. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.” (Isaiah 54:10)

Today God wants us to meditate on the verse Isaiah 54:10, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.”

In Genesis 15:18, we read that God made a covenant with Abraham, “On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates.“ This is God’s promise for you.

Only when we read the Bible we will hear God making these covenants with us too. In Nehemiah 9:8 we read “You have kept your promise because you are righteous.” Psalm 105:8 says “He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations.”

Also in Psalm 25:14 we see, “The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.” Those who fear the Lord will receive God’s covenant and see its fulfillment. In Ezekiel 34:25,26, “I will make with them a covenant of peace. I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season—showers of blessing.”

We should remember that as in 1 Corinthians 11:25, “In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” We also read the Lord saying in Matthew 26:28, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

God makes us a new creation by the cleansing of His blood. When God shed His blood He brought us into the new covenant where He has become our God and made us His people. Nothing can separate us from God anymore. Every promise of God in the Bible has been affirmed by Lord Yeshua with His ‘yes’ and ‘amen’ (2 Corinthians 1:20).

A Prayer for Today
Loving Heavenly Father, Thank You for the provision You have made for me through Your sacrifice. Thank You for Your covenant of blood. Fulfill Your covenant of peace in my life. Let every promise you have spoken to me come to fulfillment. In Yeshua’s precious name, we pray. Amen.

So Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute and her relatives who were with her in the house, because she had hidden the spies Joshua sent to Jericho. (Joshua 6:25)

It’s easy to go through life feeling disqualified because of mistakes we’ve made, or negative things people have spoken over us, or even our own thoughts telling us how we don’t measure up.

But when God needed someone to save the Israeli spies whom Joshua had sent into the city of Jericho, of all the people He could have chosen, He chose a prostitute by the name of Rahab, someone who’d made a mess of her life.

People saw her failures, but God saw her potential. Here’s how amazing God is: not only was Rahab and her family spared, but Rahab married a Jewish man, and they and their descendants are in the family line of Yeshua the Messiah.

God wants to make your life significant. People may have written you off, but God has written you in. He’s already qualified you, now don’t disqualify yourself. He has the final say. He says, “You’re blessed, you’re redeemed, you’re forgiven, and your best days are still ahead.”

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You want to bring out the very best in me. Thank You that when others try to discount me and write me off, You have already counted and written me in.

I believe that You have qualified me, and my best days are still ahead. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen
