DAILY PRAYER

“Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about to do before your eyes!” (1 Samuel 12:16)

Maybe we come from a family line of depression, addictions, divorce, or poverty. It should continue with us, but there’s a blessing on our life that’s going to thrust us to a new level.

Forces that have stopped our family are being broken right now. We’re going to take new ground in our finances, in our health, and in our relationships.

Areas that looked as though they would never change are shifting. Favor is coming in new ways—opportunities, breakthroughs, the right people.

God is going to do something that surpasses anything we’ve ever seen. It will be unprecedented, out of the ordinary. We’re not going to have to make this happen through our own efforts, our strength, our talent, and our determination.

It’s going to be the hand of God. Stand still and watch Him show out in our life. We’re not just going to believe for promises and breakthroughs, we’re about to see promises come to pass and enjoy the breakthroughs. Just stand in faith.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for the great things You are about to do before my eyes. I choose to be still, to get quiet before You, to listen to You, and to watch You work.

Give me the grace to accept Your timing and rest in the fact that You want me to stand in faith. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.

Make a show of how much you love me so the bullies who hate me will stand there slack-jawed… (Psalm 86:17)

David knew what it was to have opposition. His brothers ridiculed him. His father discounted him. When David told King Saul he wanted to fight Goliath, Saul thought he was kidding. When Goliath saw David, he laughed.

What’s interesting is that David could have defeated the giant warrior in a valley with no one around, but there are times when God will bring you out in public so people who are for you and those who are against you will see first-hand the favor on your life.

With the opposing armies watching on opposite mountainsides, when David dropped Goliath dead, their jaws dropped in disbelief. Instantly, David had respect, honor, and influence.

As with David, there are times when God is going to prove to people who you are. He’s going to help you accomplish what you couldn’t accomplish on your own, help you defeat an enemy much bigger. Everyone is going to see His hand on your life.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that when the obstacles in my way look bigger, stronger, and more powerful than I can handle, You will show how much You love me and help me overcome.

I believe that You’re about to make things happen that I could never make happen and in amazing ways. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.

“Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar…” (Acts 27:24)

The apostle Paul was on a boat headed toward Rome where he was going to stand trial before Caesar when a violent storm drove the ship aground, and all who were aboard the ship had to swim to a small island.

It looked as though Paul’s plans hadn’t worked out, but that storm didn’t stop God’s plan; it was a part of God’s plan. It blew Paul into his purpose. He ended up sharing his faith with the people on that island, and many were healed and came to know the Lord.

God will use the winds of life that were meant to harm you to push you into your destiny. You may not understand, and it may be uncomfortable, but keep the right attitude.

That storm is not going to defeat you; it’s going to promote you. You’re being pushed for a reason. There’s something bigger, something better, something more rewarding up in front of you.

A Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that the winds and waves that I face today cannot stop Your plan for my life. Thank You that my purpose is firmly and securely anchored in You.

I believe and declare that the winds cannot defeat me and are pushing me into my destiny. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen

“…I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.” (Exodus 19:4)

God didn’t give you a set of chicken wings or turkey wings to be pecking around on the ground in mediocrity. He’s given you the wings of eagles.

God created you to soar. He wants you to rise to new heights, to see new talents, new opportunities, and new levels of influence, favor, and anointing.

Life is too short to settle for things that you know are less than what is in you. Don’t stay in a job where you’re not challenged for the rest of your life.

Don’t stay in a field that you don’t enjoy or feel passionate about. You weren’t made to spend the next forty years doing something that’s not fulfilling.

If that’s where you are, look for new opportunities to stretch and grow, take courses and learn, and do your part. God will bring you an opportunity that not only challenges you but excites you. Dare to leave the familiar, trusting that God has something better.

A Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for giving me the wings of eagles so I can soar to new heights. Thank You for all the gifts and potential You put in me.

Help me to be bold, to dare to believe, to dare to take some new steps of faith and leave the familiar behind. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. (James 3:9)

Many people don’t realize that with their words they’re cursing their future. Every time we say, “I never get any good breaks,” we just cursed our life. “I’ll never be able to afford that nice house.” “I’ll never be able to break this addiction.” “I’ll never get the promotion.”

No, stop cursing your future. Sometimes the enemy doesn’t have to defeat us; we defeat ourselves. Pay attention to what we’re saying. Are we blessing our life, or are we cursing it?

Why don’t we stop criticizing ourselves? Stop talking about all the things we don’t like—how we’re getting too old, too wrinkled, too this, too that.

Don’t invite that into our life. When we speak them out, we give them life. Stop cursing our life and start blessing our life. Don’t speak words of defeat; speak words of victory.

Start calling ourselves strong, healthy, talented, beautiful, and successful. Prophesy good things. Dare to declare God’s favor. Our words will become our reality.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You have given me the power of words to bless my life and bless others. Thank You for all the good things that I can prophesy over my future.

Help me to pay attention to my words and keep speaking words of victory, health, and success. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare. (Proverbs 22:24–25)

The number one thing that gets people off course is when they start to run with the wrong crowd. You have to set boundaries around your life. When you hear somebody who’s always negative, critical, and finding fault, that’s a red flag.

Someone who is given to anger and always gets upset is not for you. Don’t spend a lot of time with people who are never happy, who don’t have integrity, who compromise, who always have problems. You don’t want those qualities.

You have a responsibility to protect what God has entrusted you with—your gifts, your assignment, your integrity and character.

If you’re going to reach your highest potential, you have to surround yourself with eagles, with people who inspire you to bring out your wings, with people who motivate you to soar, people who make you better.

But if you’re holding on to the chickens, you’re never going to meet the eagles. Don’t settle for chickens; God has eagles.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for making it so plain that I need to set boundaries and be selective about whom I surround myself with.

Help me to protect what You have entrusted to me so I can reach my highest potential. I commit myself to surrounding myself with people who inspire me and make me better. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen

For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. (Ephesians 6:15)

Ephesians 6 talks about how we should put on the whole armor of God for our daily spiritual battles. One part of that armor is the shoes of peace.

It’s interesting that God chose our feet for peace. It implies that everywhere we go, we’re going to have to choose to stay in peace. We can have on our helmet of salvation, our belt of truth, and our shield of faith.

But if we don’t put on our shoes of peace, if we don’t make the decision that we’re not going to let other people bait us into conflict, then even though we have on all the other armor, without peace it’s not going to be effective.

Every morning let us make the decision that nothing that comes against us is going to get us upset—that’s putting on our shoes of peace. We’re saying, “God, my life is in Your hands. Everything may not go perfectly today, but I trust You. I know You’re working all things for my good.”

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for being the God of all peace and for giving me shoes of peace to walk in. I want to draw closer to You and live deeper in You.

I refuse to allow circumstances in my life or what others say and do to get me upset. I declare I walk in peace. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. (2 Corinthians 6:11–12)

Notice in the Scripture that God’s desire is that we live a wide-open, spacious life. But even though God has this big life planned out, we can live it in a small way if we have limited thinking.

It’s easy to get stuck in a daily rut, dealing with the pressures of life. We’re not expecting anything better or releasing our faith. We’re thinking this is all there is. But compared to what God has planned, we’re living small.

On a regular basis, we have to stir up our faith. Stir up our gifts. Stir up our passions. We have not seen our best days. God has a wide life for us, much bigger than we’re living.

Whatever level we’re at, don’t get stuck and stay there. It may feel big to us. We’re blessed. We’re content. But in God’s eyes, it’s a small place. He has new horizons for us to explore—new dreams, new talents, new opportunities.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that I can begin to see myself the way You see me as living a wide-open, spacious life. Help me to get unstuck from the daily rut and not expecting anything better.

I believe that You have new horizons for me to explore and a bigger life than I am now living. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen

They saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons. He was sitting there fully clothed and perfectly sane. (Mark 5:15)

In Mark 5, there was a demon possessed man who lived among the tombs. People tried to restrain him, but he would break the chains. Nothing could control him.

For years, night and day, he wandered through the tombs screaming and cutting himself. One day Yeshua crossed the lake and went straight to where he was.

The man fell at His feet, then Yeshua cast the spirits out, and he was instantly healed and restored to normal.

Yeshua made a special trip just to get to this man. Sometimes forces of darkness come against us, and we can’t get free on our own.

The good news is that our God still crosses lakes. When we can’t get to Him, He’ll come to us. The addiction seems too strong, the sickness too big, the failure too great, but God is crossing the lake right now.

The forces that have held us back are being broken. What we couldn’t make happen, the Most High God is making happen.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for crossing the lake and coming to me when I couldn’t come to You. Thank You for freeing me from what I could not free myself and bringing me out of trouble that I could not get out of.

I believe that Your mercy is everlasting, and You never stop crossing lakes. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.. We all face contradictions and frustrations in our life that can cause us to get sour and give up on our dreams.

When you face one of those frustrating situations, don’t focus on it. When we keep asking why God hasn’t changed something, we get stuck on the “why” questions of life and can’t fulfill our destiny.

Faith is trusting God when life doesn’t make sense. If we’re going to reach our full potential, we can’t be a weakling. We have to be a warrior.

There will be things we don’t understand, but God knows what He’s doing. His ways are better than our ways. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. He is the Potter, and we are the clay. If it’s supposed to be removed, He’ll remove it.

If not, dig our heels in and fight the good fight of faith. Don’t let it work against us, but for us. We have the grace we need for every situation.

A Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that You are the Potter and I am the clay. Thank You that even when I don’t understand why something isn’t changing, Your grace is sufficient for every situation I face.

I’m going to keep trusting You and not let contradictions keep me from my destiny. In Yeshua’ s Name, Amen.
