“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves.” (Matthew 10:16)

Have we ever seen a sheep pacing in the fields with worry and living uptight? They’re always at ease, yet sheep are for the most part defenseless.

They can’t run fast and don’t have sharp teeth. They rely on the shepherd to take care of them. The shepherd keeps the wild animals away, shows them which way to go, and keeps them from danger.

Sheep don’t worry, knowing that as long as the shepherd is there, everything will be fine. We can take a lesson from sheep. Stay calm, for the Good Shepherd is watching over us, guiding us, protecting us.

Yes, there will be some wolves in our paths, some attack, something we don’t understand. Don’t fall apart or start complaining. Stay in peace.

We don’t have to get all worked up. The Good Shepherd will fight our battles. He’ll lead us into the green pastures and restore our souls.

We may go through some valleys, some difficult times, but we don’t have to fear any evil. The Lord our God is with us.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You are my Good Shepherd, and You lead me to green pastures and restful waters.

Thank You that even though I walk among wolves, You are protecting me, guiding me, and keeping me from danger. I declare that I am resting in You. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.

Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” (1 Kings 18:41)

When the prophet Elijah heard God speak to his spirit and told King Ahab, “I hear the sound of abundance of rain,” it hadn’t rained in Israel for over three years.

Everywhere you looked it was brittle dry and not a cloud in the sky. Elijah could have thought, “I’m not going to tell anyone what I heard. They’ll think I’m crazy.” But he knew the way God is.

In a drought, God will talk to us about rain. In lack, He’ll talk to us about abundance. When we feel insignificant, He’ll talk to us about greatness. He speaks to our spirits about what’s coming, but it may be the opposite of what our circumstances look like.

It’s not enough to just believe what we hear. The Scripture says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.” When we’re fighting a sickness, tell someone, “I’m healthy. I’m whole,” even if there’s no sign of it. Our words have creative power. When we announce it, it sets the miracle in motion.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for all the ways You speak to me about what is coming. Thank You that You are in no way limited to what my circumstances look like and have been.

Help me to have the boldness to speak out the words that You say and set a miracle in motion. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen

Declare Freedom (Galatians 5:1)

Messiah has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.

We have to be determined to stand against the opposing forces in our lives. We have to declare our freedom from addiction, poverty, sickness, and lack. We have to stand and fight until we fully experience the freedom and peace that God has promised.

Whatever battle we may be facing today, declare that we are the overcomer. Celebrate the victory that is on its way! As we stand strong and declare our freedom, we will experience His victory, and we will live in true freedom all the days of our life!

A Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that it was for freedom that Christ set us free, and whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

Thank You that I can take my stand and press through on the freedoms I am battling for. I declare the victory through Yeshua the Messiah. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.

Designated Moments (Psalm 102:13)

We will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come.
Think about a set time.

Maybe we’re cooking something that takes an hour. We set the oven timer for sixty minutes. We’re waiting and waiting. But when the alarm goes off, we don’t keep waiting. The set time has come. We change our positions and take the food out; it’s done.

One translation of Scripture says, “The moment designated has come.” These are moments that God has already designated to show out with favor in our lives.

I believe that God is saying to me, “The alarm is going off. The set time has come.” Change our attitudes from “I wonder when it’s going to happen” to “Lord, thank You that my set time for favor has arrived.”

Start expecting God’s goodness. Every morning when we wake up, just imagine the alarm is going off. God is saying, “It’s the set time.”

Our attitude should be, “This is my day for favor, for increase, and for divine connections. It’s favor time. It’s healing time. It’s acceleration time. It’s blessing time.”

A Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that You have already designated moments of favor for me. Thank You that the set time has arrived, and You are arising even now to fight my battles and move obstacles out of my path.

I believe that You are taking me to a new level of my destiny. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.

“You’re out of your mind,” they told her. When she kept insisting that it was so, they said, “It must be his angel.” (Acts 12:15)

In Acts 12, the church had been praying late into the night for Peter’s release from prison, but when he miraculously showed up and knocked on the house church door, they couldn’t believe it because it happened sooner than expected.

The whole time, Peter was standing outside knocking and knocking and thinking, “Let me in! I’m the answer to your prayers.”

Some of the things we’ve been praying about and think will take years and years, God is going to deliver suddenly, unexpectedly, quicker than we thought.

While we’re praying for our healings, healings are already in route. We’re praying for the breakthrough, and the angel has already loosed the chains.

We’re praying for the child who’s off course. God has already set the miracle into motion. We’re going to hear a knock on our doors sooner than expected.

Now, don’t talk ourselves out of it. Psalm 56:9 says the moment we prayed, the tide of the battle began to turn, and our miracles are about to come knocking at our door.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You supernaturally make things happen that I don’t deserve. Thank You that favor is chasing me down with unexpected deliveries that will amaze me.

I will keep praying and honoring You, knowing the miracle has been set into motion. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.

Ask for rain from the LORD at the time of the spring rain. (Zechariah 10:1)

Rain in the Scripture represents God’s favor. So if it’s raining, why are we told to ask for rain? God was saying, “Just because My favor is available, you’re not going to experience it unless you call for it, unless you declare it.”

We may not be able to see it, but right now there’s good news: It’s raining—raining healing, raining freedom, raining promotion, raining connections, raining creativity. God is showering down His favor like never before.

Don’t let His favor pass us by like a passing rain shower. The way we get in the rain is by declaring favor. “Father, thank You that Your favor is keeping enemies from defeating me, turning negative situations around, and breaking forces that are trying to stop me.”

Every time we declare favor, we’re asking for the rain. If we keep declaring favor, God is about to show out in our lives and do something unusual, something we weren’t expecting, and help us take new ground.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that Your favor is raining down upon me and opening doors that no man can shut. Thank You that favor is causing me to stand out, giving me good breaks, advantages, and preferential treatment.

I declare that favor is helping to take me to new ground and reach my destiny. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

The enemy would love for us to wear masks, hiding and not dealing with the issues that are holding us back. The apostle Paul says that if our face is veiled with masks, we won’t see God’s glory.

If we’re wearing a mask of perfection, pretending everything is okay, or wearing a mask of pride, worried about what others think, or wearing a mask of shame, feeling guilty and condemned, that’s going to keep us from God’s best.

We have to take off the masks. Everybody is struggling with something. Don’t be embarrassed by it. Get honest with ourselves, and be honest with God. We don’t have to pretend. When we’re real, we’ll see God’s favor.

God doesn’t change us from shame to glory, or from condemnation to glory, or from pride to glory. He changes us from glory to glory.

When we’re not wearing masks, God’s glory is on us. When we’re open, honest, and real, God changes us and takes us to the next level.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for the invitation to drop my masks and deal openly and honestly with the hidden issues that hold me back.

Thank You for the promise that You are transforming me from glory to glory. I believe that You are working right now to lift me to another level. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen

When Mordecai left the king’s presence, he was wearing royal garments of blue and white, a large crown of gold and a purple robe of fine linen. (Esther 8:15)

In the book of Esther, an official named Haman occupied a very influential position with the king of Persia.

He convinced the king to issue a decree that on a certain date all the Jews throughout the kingdom should be killed, and he so hated Mordecai, the cousin of Queen Esther, that on the following day he was going to have Mordecai executed.

Yet in one day, Haman was exposed for his evil and killed, the decree was overruled, and Mordecai was put in Haman’s position.

We may be in a difficult situation—people are coming against us, our finances don’t look good, there’s trouble in a relationship. We could be upset and worried, but stay in peace. Because we honor God, He’s fighting our battles.

Keep doing the right thing. Don’t take matters into our own hands. Let God be our vindicator, and in His time, the enemies we see today we will see no more. What was meant for our harm will be turned to our advantage.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that when I believe, angels go to work, forces of darkness are pushed back, and things begin to change in my favor.

Thank You that whether You do it tomorrow or next year, You will take care of my every need. I believe it’s on the way. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen

For I bear on my body the scars that show I belong to Yeshua. (John 15:5)

While life brings its share of physical scars from injuries, there are also inner scars that come from what somebody said, from a breakup, from a failure we made, from the loss of a loved one.

So often we try to hide our scars from those wounds. They remind us of the hurt. But we need to see our scars in a new light. God allowed that scar to remind us of what He brought us through.

Don’t think of the pain, think of the grace of God. The scar means the wound has healed, the pain is over, and we’re moving forward.

We can be at peace with our scars. Those scars tell our story. No one in the Scripture fulfilled their destiny without battle scars. We all get wounded.

The scar is proof that God healed us. The scar reminds us of the greatness of God. Sure, we have a scar, but we’ve come through healed, restored, vindicated, blessed, and fulfilling our purpose.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You have borne our griefs and carried our sorrows and by Your stripes we are healed.

Thank You that the scars tell the story of what You’ve done in my life and of Your greatness. I am at peace with my scars. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen

He Works Wonders (Joel 2:25–26)

“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten…You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you.”

The Israelites’ crops had been lost, insects had wiped out their harvest, and for years they had struggled. They had made many mistakes, and it seemed as though they had brought their troubles on themselves.

But God is rich in mercy, even when we make mistakes, even when we cause the trouble. He was saying to them what He’s saying to us, “I’m going to repay you for the years that the enemy has stolen–years you spent lonely, years you spent being mistreated, years you spent in lack, years you spent addicted, years you spent depressed.

This is not a partial recovery. We’re going to get it all back.”

God is about to repay us. It may seem impossible, but God has all power. We’re going to have plenty of joy, plenty of peace, plenty of friends, plenty of resources, and plenty of opportunities.

We’re not only going to be satisfied, we’re going be amazed. It’s the Most High God paying us back.

A Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that You are rich in mercy, and nothing is too hard for You to work out in my life. Thank You that You work in ways so far beyond anything I can think or imagine.

Help me to hear Your word and simply believe that You will work wonders for me. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.
